Classroom Policies Advanced Comp: Notebooks: Handouts, notes, and research should be kept in your notebook. It is much easier to resolve grading issues or discrepancies if you keep your materials organized. Not only will you do well on notebook checks, but also you will be prepared to study for regular tests, essays, and major projects. Make-up work: As you know from reading your agenda (handbook), you have the number of days absent plus one day to make up your work with an excused absence. You must see me and set something up! Missed work is your responsibility. All class work, homework, or tests assigned before you were absent are applicable on the day you return to school. Materials: *Three-ring binder with at least a 1” spine. *Loose-leaf paper (no spiral) *Blue or black ink pens (no pencils allowed except on announced occasions) *Agenda/planner- needed for hall passes as well as keeping track of all assignments *Flash drive and two highlighters. Food/drinks: Drinks allowed if they have a lid.
